Sarah Burton really got inspired by bees for her spring/summer 2013 Alexander McQueen collection.
"It was bringing back the silhouette of the house and embracing the
female form - the hip and bust. But there was a lightness to it. It
still felt erotic but not overt," explained Burton backstage after the
show, joking that "most women are worker bees" - which made this collection one for hard working ladies.
I still morn the incredible designer that this man was and all he's done for the fashion world. It is very soothing to see great talent such as Sarah Burton's taking over. She really stands up to the expectations and brings the essence of the brand a bit further season after season.
This collection is absolutely stunning!
