If
your spring is pastel tinted this year, Easter is not solely responsible. Get
ready to see a ton of these soft colors that are since a few weeks ago, one of
the biggest trends of the season.
These hues,
which were seen everywhere on the runways for spring / summer 2014, comes in
various declinations such as pink, purple, green, coral, blue and the famous
orchid ( Pantone's color of the year). Nicole Ritchie, the now famous “fashionista
", has even dyed her hair lilac.
Luckily
for us, the greatest designers have put at our disposal multiple cuts and
arrangements that allow us to wear the trend without looking like a bunny. Jason
Wu, Prabal Gurung and Rebecca Taylor have modernized and refined colors in a
very sleek and elegant way that they may very well be worn at the office, at
brunches or just for a day out with friends.
As
over-sized blazers, sexy pencil skirts and well-tailored blouses, pastel
clothing will give your look the perfect balance between the soft femininity
and design side of things.
You
prefer the discrete approach? You can always paint your nails or choose some
decorative items.
Go hunting for eggs and keep an eye out for your perfect pastel piece.
