You know that place you heard about, when some friends invite you over. That cool destination up north where you get to spend some time resourcing yourself, in the nature. You wake up in the morning to the sound of loonies and if you're lucky enough, someone in there knows how to make a good cup of coffee. These days when the sun is shining and you can go out for paddle boarding or just a nice boat ride. Then comes fishing, hiking and for the girly girl in us, the sun bathing session,swimming and reading books and magazines.
Then comes lunch, where we usually go for this amazing sweet corn salad in which you just throw avocados and ripped tomatoes....YUM! The days are passing by, spending time with good friends. Then comes cocktail hours. I like to spend this moment sitting on the deck, sipping on a good glass of chilled white wine with some vintage fun songs (playing on my old Ipod). Sometimes, I have to shut everything down because the loonies are having a conversion (or a fight) and really this song is the best of them all. People are slowly gathering around the BBQ, getting hungrier by the minute, thick steaks and cherry tasting Pinot Noir are already out for the evening.
A nice fire camp is slowly getting stronger and marshmallow's s'mores are being melted and roasted. And then you go to bed, to complete silence....Heaven....This is, to me, the perfect day up north!
